Rep Platform Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Rep platform (“Rep”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you create or use a Rep account and related services.
Rep provides infrastructure for creating and managing a digital representation of user preferences (“Rep”) that may be used by applications and simulation services built on the Rep platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly as well as limited metadata generated through your use of the Service.
A. Account Information
When you create or connect a Rep account through supported authentication providers (such as Web3Auth, Google login, email, or mobile authentication), we may collect:
- Email address or mobile number
- Blockchain wallet address (smart account identifier)
- Rep name
- Optional demographic information (such as age range, gender, or location)
- IP address at the time of account creation
IP addresses are stored unencrypted. Other account information is stored within our infrastructure systems.
B. Preference Vectors
When you provide preferences through the Rep interface, we store structured preference data such as likes and dislikes, safety information, and item ratings. This data is stored in encrypted form and associated with your Rep account.
C. Permissions Data
Rep stores permissions that determine which applications and simulation services may access specific vectors.
D. Simulation Activity Metadata
We may store limited metadata related to simulation activity, including daily counts and rating interactions.
E. Analytics
We use analytics tools such as PostHog to understand how users interact with the Rep client. Analytics data may include device type, browser type, page views, and interaction patterns.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate and manage Rep accounts
- Store and retrieve preference vectors
- Manage permissions for Rep-enabled applications
- Enable simulation services to access authorized vectors
- Enforce usage limits and system stability
- Improve system performance and reliability
- Conduct aggregated, anonymized research and analysis
3. Service Providers and Data Processing
Rep relies on third-party providers to operate the platform, including:
- Web3Auth and Google (authentication)
- Railway (infrastructure hosting and data storage)
- PostHog (analytics)
- Model inference providers used by Rep-enabled applications
These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services.
4. Blockchain Identifiers
Your Rep account is associated with a blockchain wallet address that may be publicly visible depending on the network architecture. Rep does not store preference data on-chain.
5. Cookies and Analytics Technologies
Rep may use cookies or similar technologies through analytics providers such as PostHog to understand client usage patterns. You may control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect certain features.
6. Data Retention
We retain Rep account information and preference vectors while your account remains active. Users may delete preference vectors through the Rep client where functionality is available. Additional deletion capabilities may be implemented over time.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect stored information. Preference vectors are encrypted at rest; however, no system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. Users must be at least 13 years old to use Rep.
9. Experimental Nature
Certain Rep-enabled applications and simulation services may be experimental. Outputs are based on modeled interpretations of stated preferences and are provided for informational and experimental purposes only.
10. Your Rights
You may:
- Access and update Rep account information
- Manage permissions for applications accessing your Rep
- Delete preference vectors where functionality is available
- Contact us regarding privacy-related questions
11. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:
- Request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect and how it is used
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Rep platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
